Hello, my name is Kristin Semmann. Let me start with I hope everyone is having a great summer! It is going by very quickly, but has been a blast so far, at least for myself. It feels strange to be doing homework over the summer, but who doesn't like reading and writing?
1. I am going to be a senior this coming 2014-15 school year. High school has flown by way to fast. I do not feel ready to live on my own and take care of myself. I am tad nervous to think I will have to cook my own food and do my own laundry.
2. For this reason, I am quite interested in attending UW Madison next year. I will be close to home if I need help with anything, but I am on a large campus so I won't feel like I'm at home. If this plan does not work out as I hope, I am looking at UW-Lacrosse, University of Minnesota, or Marquette. Physical therapy or sports medicine captured my attention the most.
3. My family consists of my mom, Bev, my brother, Brian, and my other brother, Jake. My family loves spending time outside, playing sports, and sometimes getting on each others nerves. For the most part, we get along pretty well. When spending time with my family, I can assure that there will not be a dull moment.
4. The past 13 years of my life have been spent doing something that I love-- Dance. I grew up at Monona Academy of Dance. They were my family away from home. It felt like I spent more time at the studio than at my own house! Once High School started, I joined the Dance Team. The past three years have been a blast. Making the all-american, all-state, and all-conference teams is just a topper to the experience. Junior and Senior year I am also the team captain. This experience is one that can't be replicated.
5. During the summer, One of my families favorite things to do is go up north. Both sets of grandparents own a cabin in my family. One is located in Wild Rose, and the other is outside of Beaver Dam. Both are right on gorgeous lakes. If we are looking to have a relaxing weekend, the cabin is the perfect place for a mini paradise.
6. In my free time, I love to hang out with my friends, catch up on some of my favorite tv shows, or scarf down some food. The two shows I watch routinely are The Bachelorette and Pretty Little Liars. I am definitely a sucker for the dramatic and suspenseful shows.
7. Another thing I love is buying new clothes. My closet is becoming a black hole because I keep buying more and more. If money grew on trees I would be the happiest person alive, and I would run out to the store immediately.
8. Most of all, I love to have fun!
Even though homework in the summer isn't my first choice of activities, I am excited for everything to come and to read and comment on everybody's blogs. Thank you for taking the time to read about me and I hope you learned something new!
